His Holiness Shree 1008 Jagadguru Gurusiddeshwar Pattadarya Mahaswamiji initiated the educational venture of the Sangha starting an educational institution in Guledgudd.

Fully convinced of the truth, that social development and family welfare are possible only with the prevalence of education. With the sole aim of education alone. His Holiness established Shri S J G V V & S S at Guledgudd. The sacred lamp that was lighted then has been bumping bright disseminating the light of knowledge and growing stage by stage into a colossal institution extending exemplary service to the noble cause of education. It has opened the gate of the citadel of the knowledge at Guledgudd. It has given top most priority to the introduction of new and practically useful courses in Nursing, BSW. Thus the Sangha has been earning enormous popularity and fame throughout by its yeoman service in this field.

Brief History of SJG Women’s college of Education –

SJG Women’s college of education was established in 2007-08 academic year. It is situated in the district head quarter and has independent building. SJGVV & SS Manages the institution. It is a reputed good old institution catering to the needs of northern part of Karnataka State. The college has good infrastructure. It has Library, E. T. Lab, Science Lab, Computer Lab, etc. The curricular offerings are systematically provided to the students as a result of which the student has established better performance in the university Examination. It is a real credit for the development of the institution
